OVERVIEW

The Basic Life Support (BLS) Provider course will train you to quickly recognize life-threatening emergencies, deliver high-quality chest compressions, provide appropriate ventilations and provide early use of an AED. Science and education are based on the American Heart Association Guidelines Update for CPR and Emergency Cardiovascular Care (ECC). The AHA’s BLS Course is designed for healthcare professionals, clinicians, and other personnel who need to know how to perform CPR and other basic cardiovascular life support skills in-facility and prehospital settings.

Full course includes classroom instruction, in-person skills evaluation and and the student is required to bring a current edition provider manual to class. Students registering for the hands-on skills only must have already completed the Heartcode BLS online instruction (verification required) and are not required to bring a provider manual to class since the course instruction has been completed digitally. Students not taking Heartcode BLS blended learning should register for the full course to receive both parts.  *Note: Skills only testing without completing online or in-person course instruction is not permitted. Certification e-cards are issued immediately upon completion of the course and are valid for two years.

PAYMENTS/REFUNDS

Students will receive an email to make a payment after submitting a registration request (Third-party payment plans available for qualifying students).  Once payment is received, course enrollment is confirmed and we will see you in class!

All payments for courses are non-refundable and required for enrollments to be considered confirmed.  Appointments will not be considered confirmed for any payments that are not received in advance.  This ensures that the instructor’s schedule is available for those students who are ready to proceed with their course.  Students who need to reschedule must adhere to the rescheduling policy (see below).  Any student who arrives excessively late for their scheduled course may have their course cancelled without refund, unless a late arrival is permitted by the instructor.  It is advised to contact the instructor prior to arriving late so that the instructor can be made aware of the situation.  Students may still be eligible to reschedule their course in circumstances of late arrivals due to unforeseen circumstances or emergency situations.

RESCHEDULING

Students must arrive on time for scheduled courses to avoid forfeiting the course payment and fees.  In cases of emergencies, it is advised for students to contact the instructor prior to the scheduled course time or as soon as possible.  A one-time rescheduling pass may be available for students who are experiencing an emergency situation and/or are unable to complete their course due to another challenging circumstance.  Please contact the instructor if there is an emergent issue that will cause you to be late or miss your course.  Rescheduling more than once is not permitted and all courses are non-refundable.
